Michael is the founding shareholder and CEO of Anchor Trustees.

He has worked with specialist commercial and litigation Auckland law firms and has specialised in corporate and trust structuring and administration for over twenty four years. He is a foundation member of the New Zealand Trustees Association.

He is a member of STEP and has served as a committee member of the New Zealand STEP Branch as well as a member of the International Bar Association.
 

Within his role at Anchor Trustees, Michael is a director of many trust companies, which include the New Zealand subsidiaries of several international banks.

Nicholas is a shareholder and a Director of Anchor Trustees.

Nicholas was a Partner in a UK law firm prior to emigrating to New Zealand in 1988. He subsequently qualified as a New Zealand barrister and solicitor and joined the Australasian law firm of Phillips Fox in its Auckland office.

After leaving Phillips Fox, Nicholas worked for the Bank of Bermuda in its Cook Islands office for a number of years.

He was director client services and general manager of the Bank’s Cook Islands office from 1996 until returning to New Zealand in February 2001, when he joined Anchor Trustees.

Nicholas is also a member of STEP.

David is General Manager at Anchor Trustees.

David has worked in the international trust area for many years and is a member of STEP. Before joining the company he was the Managing Director in NZ for another international trust company.

Previous to his time in NZ he was the Managing Director of a trust company in Hong Kong and before that he worked in the Channel Islands (Guernsey) and the Caribbean (British Virgin Islands) in both trust and financial positions.

He has been involved in many aspects of the establishment of trusts and companies and their related administration around the world.

As Director of Business Development based in Switzerland, Nicole is the main direct interface between Anchor Trustees and its global intermediaries and clients.

Nicole is a Swiss and Australian educated lawyer with an extensive background in Wealth and Tax Planning, including positions with the trust departments of several banks.

She has had widespread experience in relationship management at all levels, is a full member of STEP and is fluent in German, Spanish, Portuguese, French and English.

Nigel is a solicitor with Anchor Trustees focusing on trust structuring and administration.

He has worked in leading commercial and litigation law firms in Auckland, gaining broad general commercial and property related experience. Nigel has spent time in London working for Intesa Sanpaolo, Italy’s largest banking network, as a lawyer in the international legal team providing general corporate banking advice to various business teams in London and all European branches of Intesa’s international network.

Juliana is a Senior Trust and Company Administrator.

Over the years she has worked in a variety of professional capacities in both private and public sectors. She is very fluent in Hindi and a number of other local languages spoken in India. She also has basic conversational knowledge of Arabic.
 

Juliana emigrated to New Zealand in October 2004 and joined Anchor Trustees in March 2005. She is presently studying to become a Legal Executive under the New Zealand Law Society.

Cecilia is the Assistant to the Director of Business Development.

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Cecilia has an extensive background in linguistics and a keen interest in helping people communicate across languages.

Before relocating to NZ in 1997, she trained journalists and worked as an interpreter for the BA branch of NZ Trade and Enterprise. Once in Auckland she became a recognised Certified Translator and since then she has worked in the business and tertiary education fields, in a variety of roles supporting the development of trade and cultural links between NZ and Latin America.

She is fluent in English and Spanish, and is a full member of the NZ Society of Translators and Interpreters and the Latin America NZ Business Council.
